The Fierce & The Dead were formed 14 years ago in London and have slowly become one of the most acclaimed cult progressive rock bands of the last decade. Originally an instrumental band, in recent years bassist Kevin Feazey has taken on the role of lead vocalist, adding a new dimension to the band's sound. They mix in elements from psychedelic rock, old metal records, post-rock, progressive rock and shoegaze.
Their latest album News From The Invisible World has received widespread critical acclaim including Prog Magazine’s best albums of 2023 (second only to Steven Wilson) and numerous other best of the year lists including Classic Rock Magazine. Prog Magazine made them their third most popular band behind Steven Wilson and Marillion in the readers poll and included the band in their 100 Prog Icons. Their 2024 UK tour (featuring live mellotron by Tom Hunt) to support the album sold out months in advance and included a headline slot at the prestigious Winters End Progressive Rock Festival.
They have released 4 albums, 4 EPs and 3 live albums, either self released or via their friends at Bad Elephant Music and played festivals in the UK, USA, Germany, Italy and The Netherlands including Rosfest in the USA, A New Day, 2 Days of Prog Plus One in Italy and Prognosis in the Netherlands plus tours with Hawkwind, Frost* and many of the major progressive bands of the last few years.
